Slagle, Fisher assume posts at Honey Creek Resort State Park
CENTERVILLE — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Central Group Management, LLC announce that Jeremie Slagle has been chosen as the new general manager and Darin Fisher has been named PGA director of golf of Honey Creek Resort State Park on the shores of Rathbun Lake.
Slagle began his hospitality career in 2002 as the rooms’ division manager/front office manager of the Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort, with 750 guest rooms in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
After four years at that position, he transitioned to director of rooms division of the Chula Vista Theme Resort in Wisconsin Dells. He oversaw more than 300 condominiums, 144 golf course villas, 80,000 square-foot water park and 18-hole golf course. In 2006, he accepted the position of general manager/community manager for the Victorian Village Resort & Private Community, where he was responsible for a 74-unit resort and 22-unit private community, two food and beverage outlets, bar, and a music venue.
Fisher will oversee all aspects of golf operations at The Preserve golf course located at Honey Creek Resort State Park including guest services, golf shop retail activities, and membership sales.
A member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America, Fisher has more than eleven years of golf experience. Most recently, he was the head golf professional/general manager at Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella. Prior to his experience at Bos Landen, Fisher was the first assistant professional/outing coordinator at Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines.
